Yep, I know it's been freakin ages & I may get back to tell you about Christmas... or what I did for New Years if I can remember... BUT, I am on taxi duty & one of the joys of living here in regional Sunshine Coast Australia is also one of the downers... no no seems to live close by (or no one we like he he) whoops, hope the neighbours don't know I have a blog...
OK I have joined Darcy, it's about postcards, one a week, Darcy posts the 'theme' country &... well, it's so much fun I decided to join... why don't you join in too, go on, HEY NOT YET...
I know this is a douple-dip but it's been a while & it's also Paint Party Friday... yet again the delightful Eva and talented Kristin for hosting this each & every Friday, so my postcards are also my PPF offering...
First country...
AUSTRIA... Do you know once when Frayz (my hubby) & I were in New York the Taxi driver insisted we spoke the best English he'd heard for Austrians... No No WE ARE AUS-TRAIL-IAN we explained... "Best ever" he said... we took the compliment because usually no one says nice stuff about our accents...
Front of postcard...
OK this was sent in the mail, like FROM a stranger... TO a stranger...
on the back it has a note... we find out more about these strangers as the year goes on & they exchange postcards... please click on links to get larger images to read...
OK... now we quickly rush onto Week 2 in the 2012 Postcard Challenge...
SPAIN...
This was sent in the mail...
Interesting choice, maybe it says something about the person who sent it...
The back (this woman has seriously hard to read writing, please click to blow up... (size-wise, it won't explode) anyway it has a little background about something that happened & why these strangers may develop a relationship (NO NOT THAT KIND OF RELATIONSHIP) who knows, it's a crazy world & maybe not everyone is who they seem... I hope you join me following their journey :)
OK I'm outta here, BUT (yep always a 'BUT') Amy has a thing going now (as well as awesome FREE tutorials that I so wanna do) where you can win one of her amazing original creations... I think yo've got 'til Sunday... I'm going to try to enter too... here's the link...
Have a great week, & hell, it's fun being back :)
PS T.W. I've got an aceo on my desk for you, so sorry it's taken so long, you are a patient babe ;)

These are fantastic - your portraits are amazing!! I love that you haven't told us a back story on the two people writing to each other so we have to find out as we go along. I've seen a few other folks doing this postcard project and I so want to join in but am determined this year to stick to the plan and that doesn't allow time for fun projects unfortunately!!
