Paint Party Friday & Getting Tubed

I was chatting with my babe Memphis who's home from university, we were talking about stress, I believe the more we multi-task, the more we take on, the more we need to unwind (I choose art as my de-stress 1st choice, vino a close second)... ANYWAY... with no time to 'unwind' due to lectures/tutorials major assignments/essay deadlines (now cosplay outfits to make)... she hadn't time to 'chill' as she normally would by immersing herself in a late night video game... she compared her situation of having to be 'on top of things' with a past Sims game she played as a teen... in Sims reality, things were fine, she had duplicated our family in this virtual reality program, then for some reason, she didn't play for a few weeks, came back & Big F (dad) had gone off one day and not returned, I had lost my job, and her sister Trinity had given birth to a vampire baby named Paulette... see mum, she said thoughtfully, things can spiral out of control pretty fast if you leave your post...
Soo true... But let's take a few minutes off, because it's FRIDAY (woo-freakin-hoo) yes Paint Party Friday, & I although I don't have long to chat (as after our mother/daughter talk, I am now filled with dread that if I don't keep up with my heavy workload, I will one day be an abandoned unemployed grandmother with a vampire granddaughter severely adding to my stress levels)...
So for just a bit, let's chat art (although that future vampire grandchild is never far from my thoughts)...
I have just started a Youtube Channel... (insert polite applause here haha)... Many (many) years ago in New York, not only did I eat the BEST cherry pie in Soho (yes I'm a big Twin Peaks fan) absorb dumplings from 'the BEST' dumpling house in Chinatown (it said so on the chalkboard outside) I also got to ferry over to Liberty Island and stood in awe of the great BESTEST babe herself... Big F & I climbed right up into her head & looked out the windows in the crown, not the greatest for my claustrophobic tendencies but a memorable experience & breath-taking view... A prompt from Martha at Ayala Art (& 29 Faces) had me thinking about this, and how much the 'real' world has changed, it's not just virtual ones that can change so rapidly, so, I couldn't help but take up the challenge to draw/paint Liberty's face & if you want to check out my rookies attempt at capturing it on video please feel free (it goes for 3.5 minutes) ;)

Also there is my first experiment in chaos & paint on my Youtube site... it goes 30 minutes, it is a bit well (dare I say) UN-PROFESSIONAL... but if you are doing nothing on the treadmill please give it a go, oh & I haven't figured out the 'How to Subscribe' do-hickies & thingies yet to attach to my posts, but yeah, love you to subscribe, if you want to & know how ;)

That's it fellow bloggers & PPF enthusiasts except one thing... a BIG thank you as always to the Paint Party Friday hosts Eva & Kristin! Now have the BEST weekend ya-all x
