Merci beaucoup, Thank You, Gràsce, Arigato, well let's face it... a totally huge TA for my pressies ;)!!!!

I better explain Ta is Australian for 'Thanks' and all those other wonderful words from around the world up there in the title is for the same sentiment... but jeeze Louise how did we end up with such a tiny word to cover such a HUGE warm fuzzy gut felt sweet tingly feeling?? Ta... I don't think it's long enough, there should be more letters because it's a big HUGE TA ;)
Well girls, oh I shouldn't be so rude, if there is a random boy reading, don't run away, you're welcome too ;) OK I have to tell you about my One World One Heart positively outrageously fantastic delivery, dead set, the postman must have thought I'd gone into an online frenzy, with a motorcycle packed with parcels from around the world... oh yes I was excited... oh yes I'm still excited, and I wanted to share them (visually & virtually ) with my mates reading this post

Sarah from Cookies & Lasers - Random musings & knitting adventures (great name for a blog) delighted me with this cosmic set of earrings :) A sweet little bundle of jewellery fun which felt was beamed from Quarks Holodecks & gaming area on Deep Space Nine to a driftwood mailbox in Coolum Beach... One of my big fantasies is when my girls become old enough is for us all to go to the casino with $50 each and hit the tables - yes I know, I'll never be awarded mother of the year, but they love me anyway :), who knows by then we could get 8 sided dice to play with, but in the meantime these are my lucky earrings, so if you are ever at the races in Australia & you see someone wearing these, come up & say Hi... Sarah was one of the highlights of OWOH and she's a knitting dynamo who sporadically blogs & watches sci-fi and I was so thrilled to make a new friend with someone so sweet & talented :)

MarieNeige Comes from a small village in France, I was able to choose 2 of her beautiful images from a collection of shots taken around her home and these are the two which MarieNeige had printed for me... I am so proud to hang these images of simple joy in my home, they are visual reminders of a lifestyle brimming with everyday beauty, making us realise how the extraordinary rests in the everyday and sometimes it just takes the unique eye of the photographer to point this out... Visiting MarieNeige was a treat, sort of like croissants on a Sunday, but the joy is longer lasting as I have the images on my walls to admire on a daily basis :)

Sara Oh my, I fell in love with Frankie! He basically wanted a cuddle as soon as he arrived and raced around the house checking out his new home, revelling in collections of stories about his peers in the bookshelves & settling into a comfy spot on the lounge to hang out with his new family, oh yeah, mutual love ;) The Creator of Frankie, Sara, has an Esty Shop and I reckon you should check it out, she does custom monsters too, so maybe you're thinking a little Vampire or Mummy, a knitted Zombie... an affordable one of a kind classic could enhance your life or be the gift you're looking for... spooky & sweet, these are totally adorable, quirky & appeals to my inner geek... so please take a peek :) (he he, it rhymes)

Marissa dabbles with many things and still makes time to create - along with embracing all life brings, her loving family, massage therapy, student nursing, singing & dancing she still manages to run an Etsy Shop (when do you sleep ;)) Marissa did these little fairy drawings for me in her own style and I have printed them out to laminate to make into fridge magnets! Now we can keep the most mundane of shopping lists on our fridge with a touch of fairy magic :)

Waxela  is an inspired artist and I now have a permanent ray of sunshine in my home, a blooming flower fairy art doll with precious little green laces on her sunshine yellow boots, spring had been wrapped & tied with a velvet embossed ribbon & let's say I expected a swarm of bees to zero in on her sweetness when I unwrapped her. Waxela is a part of an EXTREMELY talented bunch of dollmakers which was where the seeds of my lust for these precious 3-D beings started, early in the OWOH journey... you can see more of Waxela's creations in her Etsy shop & check out the really cute cake toppers & her other characters too :)

I'll update if Mr Postman delivers another package ;) but I just want to say from me here on the Sunshine Coast in Australia, to you guys all over the world, for the gifts, for the beautiful posts during the event, to the wonderful babes that decided they would follow my blog (and I'm still getting around to calling in so have a cuppa ready :)) A huge sentiment, but a very small word...

ta ;)

Hello Lovely Shelle!

Thank you for your kind words and thoughts sweet lady! I thoroughly enjoyed drawing those fairies for you (making art for a new friend makes me very, very happy)...and I hope to be making some fairy dolls inspired by those drawings next week on spring break! I plan to sleep in June as I graduate from nursing school at the end of May!!! LOL! You're sooo very welcome darling!

I'll be in touch soon. Truth be told, I love your blog and your work. But, I spend sooo much time taking in all of your artwork and all that your blog encompasses that I am only allowed to play after I get my homework done. Lately, there hasn't been an end to the homework. LOL!!!We'll play soon darling! Be well my friend! Hugs and Love, Mariss

Does that mean we inherited that from the Brits I wonder? Do they say 'ta ta' for goodbye in Wales too? Oh & ta for the compliment on my post LOL!
Oh & Mariss you know as a mum I always tell my babes to do their homework before they play... so heads down LOL!

Whoa, look at all your loot! I hope that Mr. Postman was careful with all of those treasures. I'll echo Mariss here in saying that you are sooo very welcome, because you are such a joy.

And speaking of homework, I also should get back to that... I have so many blog posts swimming around in my head, but my fingers must first write out pages of algebra and computer code.

Still, I do confess I stop by here on study breaks to see what you're up to ^_^

Ha Ha Sarah, I love you, wish I was smart enough to do math homework & computer code, I do my homework in crayons ;)

Hi Shelle, You were so lucky to win all these wonderful door prizes! If I ever get to Australia, I'll be looking out for the earrings!

Well Shelle
I guess I wasn't the only lucky one to win great giveaway prizes on OWOH...it was such fun wasn't it? I still have most of mine all over the dinning room table and every time I turn around I am over there picking them up and looking them over. I am starting to think about where I want to keep them, so probably they will soon find their places in my home.

WOw Shelle!! Amazing!! You are a very fortunate girl!! All your prizes are fantastic! I know you will love everything and cherish them all! Thanks for the post on the corner of your blog! You didn't have to do that my friend!!!

Thanks guys, it's great to share even if it is just the photos, not the actual prize ;) I have been checking out some of the other blogs showing off their fantastic treasures from OWOH and I realise it was one of those amazing events I was so pleased to take part in, door prizes or not, it was like a street party with friends & neighbours :) Carolyn, you'll find places, it's good to admire on the dining table for a while anyway ;) Cameron, SO MUCH FUN ;) & Debbie, I'll meet you at the bar after the second race!
Stacy you are most welcome, I was so thrilled, they gave me such a kick when I opened them, great quality and I'll have them ready for birthdays, gifts or just 'hellos'... I think each month I will share something new I've purchased or been given "Show & Tell" just like when you were little at school and took in something you were excited about to show the class!

Lucky You! Thanks for stopping by...I visited every single blog during OWOH (I was on school vacation). I also won, I think three items...two showed up in the mail today, but I have yet to blog them...
Thanks for stopping by, I bookmarked you during the event...
I have 29 in one class and 28 in the other, and I teach in a very poor urban district...

Wow Shelle!! Great gifts :) Thanks for sharing them - I had a lot of fun reading through your entry and checking out the Etsy stores :)

Sunshineshelle said...

Gracey (not LOL), that's a heap of kids! Stickers on their way ;) Joumana, thanks to you & everyone for visiting those wonderful stores, I was genuinely thrilled with the gifts & the creativity that bubbles away just under the surface of the large mass producing conglomerates, real people with lot's of talent & passion creating affordable treasures for all to enjoy... gotta love it :)

All these beauties would have had me trying to think of new ways to say thank you too. And I would definitely show off this goodness made colors and shape. What a lovely treat.

P.S. I grabbed your blog button.

I really had to laugh at your comment about not winning the mother of the year award. My dad's idea of babysitting us when Mom worked on weekends was going to the racetrack :-D

Magaly, had to resort to google to do it ;) Now I'll seem REALLY dumb but gotta, you grabbed my 'blog button' but I didn't even know I had one, so I guess I'll just say, be gentle with the little thing whatever it is :)
Christine, your dad was on track with parenting in so many ways (pun there he he) we grew up going to the races (horse, trots & greyhounds) no kid wants to sit in front of a TV after that! Dad was a broadcaster but mum insisted he get paid AFTER the last race ;)
Jennifer you just KNOW I will think of a new special way to say thanks... I haven't been this excited since I used to fall asleep waiting for Santa, But for now I'll just say ta ;)
All these comments are truly appreciated and read with love, so hugs back 'atcha (boomerang principle)!!
Shelle :)
