Who's for a PPF quickie?

OK Sweeties, for all who asked - YES there was a 12 foot python snake in our living room, & the Big F (my hubby) bravely negotiated a path out the dog door with a long handled broom where the python (or carpet snake as they are sometimes called) with forked tongue slipping from side to side slid across our veranda & down our Mango tree... the day before Milo (our dog) & his posse (neighbours 2 dogs) went bananas in the garden when the python was spotted sunning itself on our rock stairs, unfortunately that sighting wasn't event free, at the the same time the dogs had whipped the snake into a frenzy we had a visitor who just happened to get a little too close to the fanged visitor & trying lamely to protect himself with a nearby garden rake still managed to get 'fanged'... the snapped rake is still in the bushes...

He he... shouldn't have laughed, but watching a grown man fall backwards into the bamboo when the snakes weight broke the rake... all I could think of was I could have been a finalist in Funniest Home Video... bugger those flat batteries ;)

OK, I gotta be quick because I'm going to do a guest post at Amy & Natasha's "The Butterfly Effect" and it'll be GREAT, like totally AWESOME... as soon as I figure out what to do... the theme will be 'Heroes' you have a week to do something & Mr linky back to the site, oh yeah, 'Flowers' is this week's theme & you still have time to get on over there & throw your name on... but HURRY!

Yes it's also PPF so my offering (& I'm not sure if it's finished yet) is (hey I'm already in the 'Heroes' frame of mind) - Cat Girl, yep & this artwork is up for grabs because ANYONE who enters a 'hero' anti-hero, war hero, super hero, fantasy or real life hero on my guest post is in the draw, Natasha & Amy can pick the winner, Mr Randomiser & I are having a break... we got in a bit of a muddle over my last post, he said I did it wrong (one lousy comma in the wrong place can apparently stuff up results) hence TWO winners with a voucher of $20 each to spend in my Etsy Shop...
So AliciaLinda
COME ON DOWN! Just give me a yahoo with what you
would like to spend your money on & I'll send it off :)
That's it dudes, have a AWESOME weekend & don't forget to drop by my
guest post... like when I do it ;) Oh man, I just realised I didn't get to talk
about my weekend at SUPANOVA, talk about heroes, & tights... lot's of
tights... gotta love men in tights...

That had to be pretty scary! I don't care for snakes at all, including the harmless garden snakes we have around here. Fortunately, haven't seen one in years!

Beautiful painting! You always paint such wonderful expressions! Have a great weekend.

I've been to the shoppe and left you a convo.....I was so shocked to see my name. Especially since no one ever just calls me Linda anymore. Thanks so very much.
Yikes and hells to the no.....snakes, ick, ick, and a big ass bugger at that. I would have been on the ceiling holding on with my claws. Thank goodness he went away, yikes. Oma Linda

They are so awesome! I love the whole story behind it. Or at least, the story that speaks to me. I like that the canvas has a consistent texture. Nice!
Have a wonderful creative weekend.

wow, what a snake story!

love your art, that is a fun fun piece.

that is the best snake story yet.

i hate snakes.

they are so snakey.

but you sure don't see them much.

also. i love it when grownups fall down.

a really really mean old lady fell down at my bridal shower (this was sort of a long time ago) and while i held it in check at the time, i still laugh about it.

You should have started with "please don't laugh" if laughing wasn't appropriate because by the time I go to the second paragraph, I was in roaring tears. I would have paid to see that guy fanged--love that word. When I was growing up I used to find snakes, slightly smaller ones lol, and chase my big brother with them. I would do all the hissing, the snake would all the squirming and my big brother would do all the screaming. It was class A entertainment.

I LOVE your Cat Girl, she looks like Catwoman and Batman's lovechild, yay!

And congratulations Alicia and Linda! Those scrambling spells sure work well ;-)

LMAO about the snake story! Too funny! Course I wouldn't think it was funny if that dang snake crawled into my front room!

Your little masked girl with kitty cat is just adorable! I LUV it!

Happy day Shelle!

Your painting is gorgeous....glad I don't live in an area where there are pythons! :-)

Argh! A python!!! I like snakes, but not at home. :)
Your Cat-Girl is awesome!

jerilanders said...

Pythons? Mango trees? Bamboo? Good heavens, WHERE do you live??? I feel quite safe here in East Tennessee, where the only snake-like creatures that come to call are little blue lizards. Your husband gets a award for bravery amid the bamboo!

Tamara said...

Omg a python! I would have fainted dead out right then and there!! I live in Florida and south Florida is having a helluva time with pythons...so many and they are causing instinctions of some animal species. I had a snake on my 2nd story porch today and it turned into a whole day event!! haha Always love your art and the catgirl is awesome. :)

Oh, I know I should feel awful about chuckling...okay...just laughing at the sight of him falling into your bamboo. Now, I am certain he did not find any humor in this event so please don't tell on me. (teeheehee)

Seriously though, I cannot think of how many ways I would die of natural causes if a freakin python was in my house. You and Mr F are now my heros and you both have my nominations for hero of the year! ;-) And that paining...oh just too adorable for words...go hero girl, go!

I am off to see your guest post. I know, late as usual with no excuses. Hugs to you, sweet Shelle.
