Sit those tied bones down, and stay a bit... actually 'TIRED' I DEFINITELY meant tired, that other word is too S&M and it's not that sort of post!

It's Pagan Culture's 4th Blogoversary, and Magaly is throwing a wicked party... giveaways, entertainment... & drinks... well at least a milkshake is on the menu... & lot's of things to chew on... crunch & munch, because there is a theme... "to the bone" so you'll be sure to leave satisfied, all that marrow... it's good for you ;)

Well I hope to do a few posts over party time, but this first one had me chewing my fingernails & meditating... bones... Bones.... BONES.... life, death, our indigenous Australians who can "point the bone" with deadly effect & how I have seen revered bones in churches, relics of saints, & last week came across a bush rat's skull in the garden... or maybe it was a possums(?)... my mind was churning & thinking that how incredible, the sum of all, maybe ends in a handful of bones, in a church, in a garden, used in magic, chewed on at dinner...  I felt a little nostalgic... about things past.

It only seems like yesterday when I sat with my big sister & assorted toddler sibling enthralled by Bones...

Not sure what I was thinking as my heart really belonged to Billy Mumy, (actually spoiler alert, just printed my 'Lost in Space' T-Shirt to wear to my next Scifi SupaNova convention - sad but true, anyway I always get lost at those things so it's quite appropriate). Anyway I decided that was as good a place as anywhere to jump from, & jump I will, because now I want to show you the 'bones' of a painting I have started, it's called 'til death we do part'... and as I flesh it out over party time I will update photos...
I have a little give away too... leave a comment & I will randomly draw the winner of this little original painting below... all comments go in the draw over Magaly's party duration 1st-13th April, so if I post again & you leave another comment well you get a second chance... the painting below, it's done on recycled board & it's called 'Carnival of Bones' it was based on my first thought when Magaly announced her Blogoversary theme, a little girl, outside of the 'haunted house' at the Easter Show, a memory of long ago, that child is no more, but the bones still terrify her.

I actually want to share something else but that will have to wait as I am running late like an April Fool, and need to visit the other partiers, so drink up, you have rested your bones long enough ;)

One more thing, NATASHAAA (I am shouting so you hear me LOL & I probably won't get to visit until tomorrow as I have dinner to cook) BUT... You have won your choice of either of my 2 posted Oz creations from my last post & I want to thank you :) and ALL I yahooed with at Oma's Altered OZ party, I had the best time, but somehow, still remain in Oz... lucky me ;)

I think any warm-blooded (and some cold-blooded) woman has loved Kirk at first sight--the man rocks, and sometimes he throws them.

Your Bones have me all happy and stuff, what a lovely post. The work in progress nearly made me cry, and the lovely girl with her hard on a string, well... she actually made me tear up.

"Dem bones, dem bones" dem wicked lovely bones ;-)

As I read your boney post, it occured to me why I love you so....you are a flitter like me. And I understand everything you flit. Why hadn't I noticed this before? Possibly because I was flitting at the time.
On now if we're gonna do Star Trek crushes....I loved Spock...so darkly mysterious and the original geek with charm.
Your heartstring girl is so emotionally charged.....I have no idea how you do that...but please keep doing it.
Now I'm off to see what there is to be seen and read what there is to be read. Smooches and Squoozes, Oma Linda

Wow! You have one of the most amazingly creative imaginations of anyone I know ... your pieces constantly surprise me with their depth. "Til Death Do Us Part" is intriguing and "Carnival of Bones" is quite scary ....

I think I spent my whole childhood Lost in Space and later beaming up with Star Trek. Your art is always thought provoking and truly on the edge! Love it!

It's good to know that I am in great company when it comes to getting hot flashes when it comes to the men of Star Trek. I had a crush on Kirk, Bones and probably the biggest on Spock.
Loved all your bone reflections Sunshine. I found a bird's skull while out for a walk.
Wow, don't you love it when synchronicity is at work!
