These dudes ain't got no body... no body...

Well, welcome little dudettes & dudes to my 2nd 'to the bone' post celebrating Magaly's 4th, yes, May the FORTH be with you... BLOGOVERSARY, actually it's April 8th now, but I love Star Wars so I just chucked that in ;)
Well, I have to ketchup - that's USA talk for tomato sauce by the way (see I'm bi-lingual) yep 'KETCHUP' on so many posts & intend to do that as soon as I finish this post & my glass of wine....
You still here?? Thank goodness I just popped off to get my pics together for a wee show & tell - thanks for waiting :)
Anyway, I didn't really know what to chat to you about today, but hell that's never stopped me before, so this arvo I went through some pics from a (fairly) recent trip I did last Sept/Oct with my precious ones, one of the places we visited was my hubby's homeland (I refer to him as 'the Big F') yep the beautifully historic Edinburgh in Scotland & then drove to Skye Harris & Lewis, some freaking awesome & freezing ancient fairy laden isles close to the North Pole (well it felt like it), which are dotted with Standing Stones erected by people who are now bones... maybe not even that anymore... but 'bones' & skulls was what we seemed to find sculpted in memory of loved ones who once walked the land of Braveheart, and these photos below are some we discovered on our trek which I'm sharing as part of "To the Bone"...
Next my sweeties a little progression visual of... 'til death we do part' fleshing it up so to speak... not finished, but soon...
Oh yeah & I must have been a little 'in the zone' because I did another 'Skully' not Mulder's X beauty & brains but something a little more literal...
ALSO... another comment here on this post gives you a second chance to win  "Carnival of Bones" my giveaway (see below) but even if you don't want it I decided that this here 'Skully' aceo will be part of the giveaway too, winner gets first choice and Mr Randomiser will pick a runner up for 2nd as well.
Ohh & you have to enter Magaly's other Prize Giveaways, but not the one for MagicLoveCrow's painting featured or Oma's altered book... they are MINE ;) Actually I'm sorry I shared, ALL those Witchy giveaway's in the Blogoversary are coverted by me!! Have a great week & promise I'll come 'round & visit soon!

Oh Shelle, you are more than bilingual...you speak the languages of the Cuckoo and that's even betta. I'd love anything that you had a paint brush on...you know that...and the fact that it has "bones" makes it even more desirable.
Glad you like the book. I seem to be addicted at this point. But I don't have any in my shop because my family keeps finding places for what I do "in their rooms".
Scotland is on the bucket list. I love the photos of your visit to "close to the north pole". It's only cuz you have thin blood from living in Oz, sweetie. xoxo Oma Linda

We enjoyed our visit to Scotland a few years ago, too. I was fascinated by how you could see Edinburgh Castle up on the hill from everywhere we drove in the city! Of course, Loch Ness was a great visit, too! Loving all your skullies!

As soon as you mentioned that you went to Big F's native land, I felt an intense need to yell, "Freeeeedom!!!!!" so I did. I would hate to wait until I turn to bone (or someone chooses to chop my head off) before screaming those words.

Anyhoo, my goodness, this lovely painting is progressing like a dream (with bones in it).

Just so you know, I've been emailing everyone who has entered "Carnival of Bones." Just telling them in friendly tones that I'm not violent, but I could violent if they don't remove their names from the giveaway, you know? I mean, I saw them first. And that little girl with her severed heart on a string is sooo mine. The skully, too. Ask him, he'll tell you ;-)

I loved your photos of Scotland, somewhere I really want to go one day. Your photos made my blood quicken! They look magical. Both your bone paintings are stunning. I couldn't pick a favourite. The skulls are captured so well, I really love them.

Hahahaha....suppose Scotland is near the North pole compared to you lol...and I love all those skeletal sculptures and carvings. Some people think the skull and crossed bones on a grave signify's a link to the Freemasons.....
And that nearly kiss is so sexy!!!! :D XXX

Oh you beautiful Aussie goddess, you have won my heart with those pictures! There is nothing more magical, nor deep with soul than ancient burial lands, and legible detailed headstones are such a bonus!

I am in love with 'til death we do part'. The depth of meaning is just drenched in that canvas. You are such an amazing artist.

Thank you so much for the precious things you said about me. I am somewhere between beaming with pride and melting in humbleness. Sending you all the southern love your heart can hold. Mina

You are too funny. I loved this post, thanks for sharing all those photos, I'll never get there. I can live vicariously through you ;) And here in the land the USA.. ketchup is nearly sacred and should be treated as such... haha just kidding but we do looooove our ketchup.

Your paintings are just incredible. I love them both. Your style is really impressive Shelle.
