JAN 26

No waffling, promise no blah blah today or getting off track like I sometimes do... I really won't keep you long as I'm sure you probably (definitely) have better things to do......
OK (this is it)...
If it's good enough for Oprah to say Australia's a great place I'm jumping on the bandwagon and waving the flag too, BECAUSE the 26th of Jan each year we celebrate 'Australia Day' what does it mean? Dunno, what is the history of the day? Truthfully, again, dunno that either but I remember it was important (I'll look it up on the internet in a sec & I'll go, oh yeah, THAT'S IT, that's why we have a public holiday)!
But even though I just scored zero on that impromptu quiz, I just want to say gidday to all my mates here that have found a little time to pop in, all the sheilas (& blokes?) in this wonderful virtual world who may read this... or at least skim through ; )  and I'd love to share a collage of recent shots in celebration of Australia Day, yep we did chuck a prawn on the barbie, donned our togs for a dip in the Pacific & threw down a bevvie or 2... and generally a great day was had by all, so Happy Australia Day to you too where ever you are, hope you enjoy the collage : )

Thanks to all my mates for commenting : ) The photos were from our local beach, our garden, plus Wooli (a favourite holiday spot) & a couple from a recent visit to my hometown Sydney : ) and threw hubby in collage for good measure from one of his morning surfs.

Where in Queensland are you? I lived in Sydney for a year-and saw every state except N. Territory. Loved the GBR and the Great Ocean Road.

I did think of Chocolat but forgot that Johnny Depp was in the movie. I have been to the town where it was filmed. It was cute but there were no chocolate shops. Before Christmas I was in Brugges -now that is a town with 48 chocolate shops.
