Awards AND Paint Party Friday... must be time to do a post...

OK, I'd like to thank, well there's so many people...
Hang on, this isn't the Academy Awards, hell it's not even Police Academy 5... but an awards celebration it is it is and for someone who's first & only blue ribbon at sport was for Tug-A-War when I was 15, I can't tell you how thrilled & awkward I feel accepting the "JUST LOVE HER VERSATILE WAY" in the last 24 hours I have been heavily tagged (& now sporting bruises) by the wonderfully wicked Magaly from Pagan Culture then out of the blue WHAM tagged next by the delicious Mina at Green Witch with Sprinkles and before I could recover, SLAP BANG the unique & wonderfully loud Linda from Olde Baggs 'n Stuft Shirts hit me with the same award, OK does it look like I have that many secrets to share??
Well uh uhhh... so when I was given "Three Freaking Things" from my bestie Stacy from Magic Love Crow also arrived... OK, a slightly different award BUT Not toooo different, I decided this avalanche needed addressing so hang onto your glomesh purses, here we go... Fast & Furious...
Oh Yeah, there ARE rules to this, but, hell, I'm just doing 3x3x3x3
3 things I love
Blackjack, A blank sheet of paper, Life Drawing (see Paint Party Friday addition)
3 more things
Memphis, Trinity, & the Big F
3 things about my childhood
Never had a bike (I had a reputation as being clumsy), tied my brothers tonka trucks to my feet with mum’s tea-towels so I could roller-skate (the wheels kept piercing my arches with the steering wheels, ouch (yep deemed to clumsy for ‘real skates too), each night got changed after my bath in my wardrobe, very shy about my chubby body.
3 things I told my career guidance councillor I wanted to be, a private detective, radio announcer, dolphin trainer, they told me if I couldn’t be serious they couldn’t help, I was, but they didn’t.
3 Random things Don’t eat birds, eggs, offal etc, I was voted most likely to become a nun (by the nuns) and I have no respect for hypocrites, bluggers and go gooders of word only (not action)
3 more things just because I’m on a roll... Mum - a constant inspiration I am in awe of every single day, Dad - the most generous man & fabulously fun father who taught us to do our best, because that’s all you can do and taught us that material goods never made anyone a better person  and I miss him & wish my girls had the opportunity to have met such a life-force. My siblings, for so many reasons I’d have to write a book to explain.
OK, Not going to bore you anymore because then I can’t bore you later (and I will my precious, I will)
But... Movies - Blade Runner (Directors Cut), Brazil, & Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind...
AND
Comedy - Dodgeball, Marx Bros Day at the Races, & Zoolander
AND
TV - Millennium, Battlestar Galactica (remake) & Family Guy
I gotta go, it’s Cheese-plate night & it’s every Friday Fruit, Cheese, Crusty loaf wine & sodas, the fires on, it’s dropped to 18 degrees (that’s cold on the Sunshine Coast) and there’s one more thing, you guys, you, you are the reason I’m here, thank you, I appreciate the company, the chat & the stimulation, and I know the 3 of you had better things to do tonight...

Almost forgot... tagging, nominate yourself if you want too, go on, grab a button, I'm a Libran, don't make me choose, I'd love to know some more about you, let me know in the comments & I'll come visit & read some things about YOU!! Please, volunteer otherwise I'll have to come after you ;)

Almost forgot, as per previous revelations, love life drawing & painting, this is of model Sarah, oil on plywood... Happy PPF ;)

I love your description of our father; it reminds me of mine. He is perfect. And I LOVE Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I cry like a fool every time I watch it. I just chuckled at the idea of you feet-riding your brotherss Tonka trucks!

Hi Shelle,

Wow! What a great painting!

(Unfortunately, you didn't change the post link and so it is going to your last post. (Mr. Linky saves your name and last link - each week you have to replace the link but not your name). People won't always figure things out so I have added another link direct to this post for you.)

Okay, so I have to tell you (hope you don't mind me posting it here)how much your, "You had me at Prologue" post in the sidebar touched me, brought a huge smile to may face! Been having a tough time of it (son had emergency surgery week before last and spent week in hospital, this week had a tough time getting back to school, etc and today he left on a school trip for the whole weekend - so stressed I can barely deal) and this just made such a difference in my day - brought in quite the ray of sunshine!

So thank you! HUGE HUGS :)

Love your painting! I'm still working on people, have a lot of blocks there as opposed to animals; tho if it's a photo it's not so bad. Really hard for me to draw from life because I'm always worried about what the person will think of the drawing.

OK 3 thinks about me: I love living alone for oh so many reasons! I also love all my real world and online friends and family. I love to paint.

Happy PPF!

Hello,my friend

I love your wonderful painting and your story. Especially about your father. Mine used to be like yours and led me so many ways. He is 86 years-old and suffering dementia. I miss his powerful days.

Anyways, I'm really thankful to Mina for the ward, however I cannot choose 10 people out of my small number of followers, haha. Maybe I'wll take your example!!!

Thank you for your wonderful comment for my post.
It is getting hot here in my city. Please take care of yourself for the sudden coldness.

Hugs always, Orchid.

So thrilled with all your comments THANK YOU, I really haven't been rude & ignoring all BUT I have changed internet providers/servers which resulted in DOWN TIME, 2 DAYS downtime, yes I freaked (a little), yes I got the team of trusty carrier pigeons, tied on little personal calligraphy comments on tiny bits of rolled parchment and sent replies to each & every one of you, which you should receive within 8 months to 3 years, yes (actually no) still haven't cleaned up the bird pooh yet (I shouldn't have used the dining table) so better go, see what I've missed out on, & yes, maybe clean the table down ;)

Your comment heartened me and I am proud of you and your family being close. Please send my regards especially to Memphis, who must be very intelligent.
