What Day is it?? What's my name??

Sometimes I get confused, OK, almost always I reek of a little confusion at some point of each day (with a hint of garlic too if I've made a huge slab of lasange for the family the night before)... I sorta feel I watched too much (no... actually it's impossible to watch too much) sci-fi & fantasy as a child & the Twilight Zone is actually a real dimension, because 'time' sometimes, just, disappears...

I've been much better since I discovered 'calendars' but still every now & then I stuff it... I missed something I really REALLY wanted to be a part of this week, I have already crashed & burnt on Martha's brilliant 29 Faces in May Challenge (which had fantastic talented prolific profilers dishing up tasty facial features on a daily basis)... now I have missed The Butterfly Effect which had my bestie Stacy hosting the theme VAMPIRES... so with lateness and apologies I will still post my offering...

Stacy had asked what name would we have if we were a vampire? I thought about this for ages before I enlisted the help of my family, they insisted nothing would change, I already wear black, don't go in the sunlight (they exaggerate a little) & didn't change my name when I married my Big F... so I realised why it was so difficult for me to 're-name' myself... Then I realised - I may be Sunshine Shelle... but Midnight Michelle could be my Vampire persona without too much of a change at all ;) So I now embrace my 'after-dark' identity ;) Oh... maybe Sundown Shelle would be better? Uggh, this was harder than I thought :/

Now... These 3 were doodles I did which I ripped out of my sketchbook & evolved into 3 different blood suckers...
Eternal Youth

Scent of Flesh

Ravenous
I also added a aceo... this creature stays in the shadows & shuns the light, hunting in darkness, a silent feeding machine... presenting... the night stalker...

Night Stalker
Creatures like these lurk (as Rod Serling would say) "between the pitt of man's fears & the sunlight of his knowledge"...
OK my beautiful blogging friends, hoping you all find the time this week to do the things you love most - & thank you for sharing a part of it dropping by my space in the virtual world...

As my sweet Ry would say these are spooky ooky....and I say scarifalicious. Night Stalker just won't stop looking at me.
Thanks for agreeing to be a part of Return to Celebrate Oz.....July 19.
My husband has a name for being overwhelmed by too much input and worldly to do's......mental pause. But then he thinks he's cute anyway.
I completely get how stuff gets away from someone. It's hard to keep everything going on and still live life. My advice, keep on keeping on dearheart. Oma Linda

I can sympathize; if it wasn't for calenders I'd almost never know what day of the week it is, and what date it is would definitely escape me!

I like "Sundown Shelle" ad it would be a bit less of a change for you to have to deal with too. ;)

P.S. I'm running a giveaway on my blog right now; offering a chance at winning one of 3 free copies of my newly released book "Witchlet" based on the "Cara's Magical Cure" story I posted for Magaly's blog party back in April. Anyway, if you're interested and have the time, stop byand check it out.

Midnight Michelle, may I please be Moon Gone Dark Magaly? That way we can be dark Ms together. Although, I already named my vampire self Fanged Daisy and I don't know if renaming is allowed. Hm, maybe I can be Fanged on Weekdays and Moon Gone Dark the rest of the time, and you can be Sundown Shelle at the same time... put it on your calendar, we have some lurking to do.

Love, love, love your ladies of the bloody night ;-)

I like Sundown Shelle...sounds like an instruction that states it's time to open the alcohol mwahahaha :D
The FB page is still open for Martha's challenge, you could add these fabulous phantoms there :D XXX

oh oh they are a cool gang ;) but I won´t meet them in a dark lane! the scariest one is the night stalker with his crazy smile! Great work! wuuhuu, hopefully I can sleep tonight ;)!

Your dark paintings are amazing ... so much feeling and depth in each.

I love the name "Sunshine Shelle" ... but "Midnight Michelle" doesn't seem to quite fit, even though it is a great dark side name ... hmmmm, how about something like "Midnight Michstery" (seems to kinda capture Michelle, mystery, and witchery all in one?)....

You are creating some awesome pieces Shelle!

Time? Pffffftttt! I live by the clock and calendar with constant reminders because I am always loosing track of time. Sci-fi and fantasy overload...okay...we'll say that. ;-)

I love the name Midnight Michelle. It would be a good stripper name too. hahahaha - just a bit of humor there.

Your sketchbook pages are beautifully creepy and "The Night Stalker" nearly makes me shudder. Scaaaaaaaary! Hugs my beautiful love. Mina

Oh my, these look fabulous! Creepy, but fabulous! I always liked a good Vampire story, and these paintings would make perfect book covers.

Oh Shelle... or should I say... Midnight Michelle... LOVE your people of the night... you paint them so well... and capture their personalities perfectly... I really wouldn't want to meet Night Stalker on a dark night... but he keeps looking at me... nodding that we might... I'm such a scaredy cat... that even the thought of it freaks me out... wonderful work... as always Shelle...

Hugs

These are fabulous!!

I was so proud because I actually finished all 29 Faces in May. But I couldn't get inspired to do any artwork for about 4 days afterwards. I was brain dead...kind of like your zombies...(-:
